We decided to take a trek to Ipswich to canoe the river at the Audubon in Ipswich MA! Zach seemed to think this was a great idea and had a great time! Mom and Dad also had good times but spent a lot of time making sure Zach was safe and not about to launch the paddle or himself overboard! We also went to a wading pool in a St Park nearby in Topsfield after which was fun, but was difficult to take pictures at.

Saturday play and art projects
We tried a new park that we happened to drive by when the event we were trying to go to was sold out. If you look carefully in the background of the swings you can see a water park with wading pool and huge sprinklers. We'll have to plan to come back soon with our swimgear!
Zach seemed to have too much friction on this slide to make it all the way down. We'll have to convince him to not grab onto the slide on the way down next time!
Lastly we made a couple sand art pictures which Zach thought was really fun. We'll have to try that again there (not at home unless we want sand everywhere!). He also made a car picture, but the ladybug turned out better.
Big Z takes over Chicago w/the Salvesens
Zach took the family to visit his aunt, uncle and cousins the Salvesens in Chicago to celebrate the 4th of July, what a generous guy! We watched fireworks at a nearby park & golf course...
Went to a military park and got to climb on a bunch of tanks and guns...
We also went to the race track and got to watch a few races, which was fun, although we didn't end up ahead in the end.
Overall it was a good trip and we enjoyed mostly good weather the whole time. It was even cooler there than in Boston!
